FRANKY AGUILAR

WEB DESIGN and INTERACTIVE MEDIA

I’m currently a student with The Art Institute of California San Francisco, studying Web Design and Interactive Media. WDIM for short. I moved to San Francisco about a year and a half ago, after spending a winter in Alaska. My goals were always to create a profession in Design, and the best place to start would be San Francisco. After enrolling with AI, I took several online courses. I traveled, and saw as much as I could before I had to move to the city. But let me tell you, I love San Francisco. I can take a safari through the zoo, get lost in a jungle in GG park, eat on the boot of Italy, or get grossed out by the fish market in Chinatown. This little city virtually holds everything in the world. This city has definitely changed my life. And I hope to utilize everything I’ve seen in my short life. :D

Love Life, you only get one!

Design Employment:

For a little over a year, I worked as a Flash Illustrator for an awesome company called Dizzywood. I collaborated with the Co-Founder and Marketing Business Manager on designing the company’s website, as well as taking lead on all avatar asset creation. Because the company was small, I was also able to contribute to other sections of the site, including the design of an in-game flash mini game.

Freelance Experience:

I started freelancing throughout high school, creating shirt designs, skate logos, and other artwork to develop the identity and image of a local skateboard shop. From then I progressed to working one on one with clients, designing album covers and Myspace layouts for Bionic Megaz, and various others. My projects tend to spread from a variety of identity branding, to simple logos, web design, and other typeset designs.

Education:

I’m currently in my third year at The Art Institute of California San Francisco working towards a Bachelors in Web Design and Interactive Media.
